First Year Apprentice Carpenter – Interior Fitout

Job description

IRM Interiors is a commercial fitout and refurbishment company that has been operating for over 25 years, working mostly in the CBD and surrounding suburbs. 

We are looking to expand our team with one first year apprentice carpenter who will specialise in interior fitouts and refurbishments.

This position is full time and immediate start.

You will be working with qualified tradesmen who will provide training and instructions on a daily basis.

Requirements  

• High attention to detail 
• Willingness to learn and be self-motivated
• Hardworking, honest and reliable 
• Own basic hand tools 
• Hold a current drivers license
• Hold a White Card
• Available to work Overtime and Saturdays when required 

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Assist qualified carpenters 
• Measuring and cutting of materials 
• Constructing wall frames and plastering
• Constructing aluminium frames 
• Use hand and cordless/power tools 
• Assist with general laboring tasks
• Maintain a neat and safe workplace
